The Tourist Hotel Danieli

Hotel Danieli was built in the fourteenth century by the Dandalos, a noble Venetian family. Many artists, writers, musicians and actors have stayed in this hotel but it is renowned for being in the movie 'The Tourist'. Walking through the double doors and entering the hotel we were astonished by the Grand Lobby with its marble interior, exclusive lounge and its iconic, majestic staircase that welcomes its guests as soon as they walk in. Drooping miraculously from the high ceilings were the Murano Glass Chandeliers designed by Archimede Seguso and hanging elegantly from the Rubelli covered walls was an original Jacopo Guarana painting, it really was the perfect setting. We're not quite Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie but it sure felt that way for the day!
